Ouch! That Word Hurts! Our January Virtue is Arriving!

Discipline!  That word sometimes creates pain for us—the discipline of exercise, eating right, getting up on time, extra study time, making relationships right . . . there are many ways that the implementing of discipline can bring some sore muscles or other hurt because we’re working them.  Well, discipline, doing what you need to now so you can grow stronger, is where we are headed for January.  Our theme will be “step it up” and we’ll be teaching and encouraging kids to “step in up” through 5 Faith Skills:

1. Navigate the Bible (survey and locate)    Read His Book.
2. Personalize Scripture (memorize and apply)   Remember His words.
3. Dialogue with God (public and private)  Talk to Him.
4. Articulate faith (share and defend)  Talk about Him with your friends.
5. Worship with your life (praise and give)  Make Him more important than anything.

We’ll be kicking this all off at our monthly KidStuf and we’re hiding an item that represents our January Mission of the Month, Uncharted International.  So be sure to get there and look for the m & m and comment about it to this post.  The first 10 kids to find the item and write about it here get a prize!  See you at KidStuf!
