a few more kid comments

Here’s a few more quotes that we’ve heard this week.

“I think I’m gonna go talk to God tonight.”–Korinne

Abby to a leader upon seeing a scoop of vanilla ice cream with only chocolate syrup on top.

“That is not a chocolate sundae! You need marshmallows, sprinkles, chocolate chips, and more chocolate syrup to make it a sundae.”

Camper–Please pick me! Please pick me!”

Leader –”I did.”

Camper-”Oh, thank you.”

Camper A Question-”Where are we going?”

Camper B’s Answer-”Heaven. We’re just passing through.”

Camper-”Can I be painted blue?”

Answers to Match the Tray to the Camper!

Okay, so here are the answers to “match the tray to the camper.” How did you do?

camp comments overhear

Hi Families,

Here are a few comments that leaders have overheard from the kids while here at camp . . .

“This isn’t camp, it’s paradise!”

“I’m so glad I got to come on this trip.”

“There’s Jake!” said with a shrill screaming little voice- (one of the interns)

Celebrating

Hi again families,

Tonight at the end of the night we celebrated two birthdays. Soleil’s birthday was June 15th and we celebrated Korinne’s birthday in Christ! Korinne asked Jesus into her life to be her savior today in her dorm room! Here’s a pic of the two girls and the celebration we had for their birthdays. It’s been a great day!

Match the tray of food with the camper!

Okay, parents! We’re playing lots of fun and messy games here at Camp KidJam and we don’t want to leave you out of it. So here’s what you do. Check out the pics of the different food trays and try to guess which of the following campers go with each meal. Here are the kids that you can choose rom: Christian, Abby, James, Matt S, Hannah, Lily, and Payton. Oh, yeah, one of the trays belongs to one of our leaders, James. Tune in tomorrow night to check how you did!

We are here: it’s morning: and we are up!

Hey families,

We arrived safely at Camp KidJam yesterday afternoon and have been going strong!  The kids are doing well and having a blast.

The dining hall was an interesting experience for the kids and took some time for them to figure out, but they all got plenty of food!  Last night we had an awesome time at Late Night (a high energy game time—Victoria Warren won our team, the Blue Crushers,  2,000 points for drinking the fastest out of a baby bottle!  Woo Hoo, Tori!

This morning, they are ready to go early . . .  we’ll see how long that lasts!

Today is a full day with kids taking their track choices, lots of awesome worship and teaching and swim time and more!  Well it is time to get everyone gathered to head to breakfast!  I’ll blog more later tonight hopefully with pics!  I’m capturing some awesome pics!
